Product Design Engineer
Aries Electronics, Inc., an electronic connector/adapter manufacturer located in Bristol, Pa., is looking for a Mechanical/Electrical Product Design Engineer to design connectors, adapters, test sockets and cable assemblies, as well as tooling and fixtures for manufacturing responsibilities and requirements:
The major requirements and experience level required, but not limited to, are:
- Minimum 2 years of small product design using SolidWorks.
- Mechanical Engineering degree required.
- A double major in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering is a major plus.
- A candidate with professional SolidWorks training is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Experience with SolidWorks Flow simulation for thermal studies is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Product design experience with molded and machined plastics, stamped and formed metals, as well as various assembly and manufacturing methods is desirable.
- PCB design experience to design custom adapters using Eagle PCB design software is a plus, but not a requirement.
- SMT PCB component and assembly experience/knowledge is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Tooling and fixture design experience is a plus. Must be able to troubleshoot issues and supply technical support to our customers and sales group.
- Must be capable of working on multiple projects, be detailed oriented and have document control experience.
- Must be very focused, organized, reliable and be able to provide accurate detailed work and complete projects on time.
- Experience with contract review, helpful.
- Review, complete and submit customer supplied environmental and safety surveys.
- Must be capable of working on multiple projects, be detailed oriented and have document control experience.
- Resolve any assembly issues and communicate the corrective actions with other coworkers.
Qualifications and Skills:
- At least two years of product design experience using SolidWorks (experience using versions 2019, 2020 and/or 2021).
- Mechanical Engineering degree required.
- Must have experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, ERP software, e-mail and internet use.
- High aptitude to learn and follow instructions with little supervision, meet deadlines, be a dependable team player and have good work ethic.
- Strong verbal and written understanding of English. Attributes: Diligent, dedicated, meticulous, and motivated person.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.

- Minimum education: Bachelor’s Degree (preferred); Associate’s Degree (minimum)

M-F 8:00-4:30 PM; overtime may be available.
